Glaschu
Modern Scottish fine dining on the historic Royal Exchange Square
Glaschu — Scottish Gaelic for Glasgow, the dear green place — is a modern Scottish fine dining restaurant on the first floor of the Western Club, overlooking Royal Exchange Square in the city centre. This is refined cooking without the intimidation: classical technique and exceptional Scottish produce, served with warm rather than formal attention. The menu runs from a keenly priced market lunch to a tasting menu with paired wines, taking in signatures such as lobster ravioli and a much-praised Beef Wellington, with a Sunday roast served all day. The room is considered and quietly grown-up, behind the Gallery of Modern Art. Glaschu is a dinner worth dressing up for.
